Tengah is Singapore's most ambitious bet on the future of public housing. BTO prices at 15-25% below mature estates are the most accessible homeownership option for young Singaporean couples. This is not an investment play -- HDB ownership is restricted to citizens and PRs, and there are no private condos. It is a long-term lifestyle bet for those willing to endure years of construction-zone living in exchange for being part of something genuinely new.
