关于Addu Feydhoo

Feydhoo is a small, heritage-rich island in Addu City, connected by causeway to Maradhoo and the larger Hithadhoo. During World War II, the British Royal Navy established a major base in Addu Atoll, and Feydhoo retains traces of this era in its layout and local lore. Today the island is a quiet residential community of around 3,000 people, characterised by coral-stone compounds, tropical gardens, and a pace of life that moves with the tides rather than the clock. For property investors, Feydhoo offers the lowest entry point in Addu City. Residential land plots and traditional houses are available at a fraction of Greater Malé prices. The island's proximity to Gan International Airport (a 10-minute drive via the link road) and world-class dive sites — including the British Loyalty shipwreck — positions it as an emerging destination for guesthouse and boutique dive-resort development. The Maldives' growing 'local island tourism' movement, which channels visitors to inhabited islands rather than exclusive resorts, is creating new demand for accommodation on islands like Feydhoo.
