Consolacion

Consolacion is Metro Cebu's northern growth engine — a municipality of 154,000 people that has transformed from a quiet agricultural town into one of the most dynamic residential expansion zones in Central Visayas. SM City Consolacion was the catalyst that signaled the municipality's arrival as a legitimate suburban destination. The real game-changer is the New Cebu International Container Port (NCICP) — a PHP 16-billion, 25-hectare port facility that broke ground in February 2025 in Barangay Tayud. The planned Fourth Cebu-Mactan Bridge will further enhance connectivity. Consolacion's upland barangays have also emerged as a destination for mountain cafes, glamping sites, and weekend retreats.
