Addu Hithadhoo

Hithadhoo is the largest and most populous island district of Addu City, the Maldives' second-largest urban area situated at the southernmost tip of the archipelago. As the administrative capital of Addu, Hithadhoo hosts government offices, the Addu City Council, the regional hospital, and the main commercial strip. Unlike the vertical density of Malé, Hithadhoo sprawls across a long, narrow island with tropical gardens, breadfruit trees, and wide unpaved lanes giving it a distinctly rural-urban character.
