Connecting beyond borders: the LeadingRE Asia Pacific Forum in Singapore

LeadingRE, the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, is a Chicago-based network of independent brokerages: by its own count 550 member companies and 134,000 sales associates in more than 70 countries. In July 2025 it held its Asia Pacific Forum in Singapore under the title "Connecting Beyond Borders", aimed at unlocking the potential of the region's property market for its members.

A forum built around the region

The forum sat inside a longer week. A Singapore Immersion Experience on 15 and 16 July gave members a guided look at the city's development, with a river cruise, a visit to the Pinnacle@Duxton residential complex and lunch in a hawker centre. Registration and a networking dinner followed on the evening of 16 July, and the conference sessions ran on Thursday 17 July at the Shangri-La Singapore. Members could then carry on to JLL's Global Property Expo, which opened on 18 July.

The programme addressed the commercial questions facing agencies in Asia-Pacific. Panels covered regulation, investment flows and buyer behaviour, the effect of Asia's growing middle class on housing demand, hybrid work across the region's cities, and the market forces behind new developments. Roundtables dealt with recruiting talent, marketing and working with overseas clients, and members shared how they use LeadingRE's referral and training tools.

INTRIC's session

At midday, INTRIC's founder and chief executive, Abhii Dabas, led "5-Star UX for Real Estate: Designing Digital Journeys That Drive Listings & Loyalty", moderated by James Puddle. The agenda billed it as a look at the user-experience pitfalls that lose prospective clients in their first ten seconds, practical frameworks for mapping and improving the online property-search journey, and case studies of gains in enquiry volumes and customer satisfaction.

Mr Dabas was introduced to delegates as an entrepreneur and investor, and as a user-experience specialist who advises governments and large companies on digital experiences.
