Rajagiriya sits just east of Colombo, near the Sri Jayawardenepura Parliament complex on Diyawanna Oya lake. The area has transformed from a quiet suburb into a modern residential and commercial hub with new apartment towers and shopping centres. The Parliament Lake area provides scenic green space, and new expressway connections have improved access to the airport and southern coast. Rajagiriya offers more space and modern amenities than inner Colombo at lower prices.
