The Chas Everitt International Property Group was the dream of founders Charles (Chas) and Tilla Everitt, who opened the very first Chas Everitt office in Randburg in 1980. For almost half a century, Chas Everitt has helped thousands of families move toward their dreams.
Our family business is rooted in strong ethics and values. Led today by CEO Berry Everitt, the group has more than 140 franchised and licence outlets across Southern Africa and more than 1,000 property professionals, working across residential sales, rentals, commercial property and asset management.
Since 2015 we have been a member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and Luxury Portfolio International, which put South African property in front of buyers abroad and strengthen our referral network globally.

The history of Chas
- 1980Dream launchFounders Charles (Chas) and Tilla Everitt open the very first Chas Everitt office in Randburg.
- 1998Father and son leadershipCharles Everitt becomes Chairman and his son, Berry Everitt, Managing Director of the group.
- 2003Into franchisingBarry Davies joins as a partner and the group enters Southern African franchising, with offices opening across five provinces.
- 2008Expansion into Southern AfricaThe group opens its Lusaka franchise in Zambia.
- 2013Country growth and rentalsOffices open in the Northern Cape and Limpopo, and the Chas Everitt Property Rentals Group adds a full rentals franchise model.
- 2015International footprintChas Everitt is invited to join Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and Luxury Portfolio International.
- 2023The year of techChas Everitt wins LeadingRE’s Vanguard Award for technological innovation.
